Our target is WCAG 2.1 AA for this website and for the TypeCheetah product we're building. We're early — a typing curriculum will only work if every student can use it, so accessibility is a design requirement, not something we plan to bolt on later.
Our target
We hold this site — and the product we're building — to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. That standard covers things like color contrast, keyboard operability, screen reader compatibility, and clear navigation structure.
What we do today
- Semantic HTML throughout the site, so headings, landmarks, and lists are readable by assistive technology.
- Keyboard-navigable forms and menus — every form field, link, and menu item on this site can be reached and activated without a mouse.
- A brand color palette that we've checked for contrast against WCAG AA thresholds.
- Support for reduced-motion preferences, so visitors who set
prefers-reduced-motionsee fewer or no animations.
Current status
We're honest about where we are: this site has not yet been through a third-party accessibility audit, and we don't hold any formal accessibility certification. Once the TypeCheetah product launches, we'll publish a VPAT (Voluntary Product Accessibility Template) so schools and districts can evaluate our conformance in detail. Until then, this page reflects what we can honestly say about the site you're using today.
