Who we are

TypeCheetah (typecheetah.com) is operated by vectorfrog, a small independent software studio. If you have a question about this policy or about your information, email us at [email protected] — a person reads every message.

What we collect today

TypeCheetah is currently a marketing site with no logged-in accounts. We collect two kinds of information:

Form submissions

When you fill out a contact or pilot application form on this site, we collect the name, email address, role or school/family details, and message you provide. These forms are submitted by adults — teachers, administrators, or parents — not by students.

Analytics

This site loads a first-party, privacy-respecting analytics beacon from a.vectorfrog.com, which we also operate. It records pageviews, referring pages, and basic anonymized visit data, and it automatically filters out bot traffic. It does not load any third-party advertising trackers.

Fonts

Site typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com). Loading a font from Google's servers means Google receives the requesting IP address, as is standard for any web font service.

What we don't do

• We do not sell personal data — ever.
• We do not use advertising networks or ad trackers on this site.
• We do not load third-party trackers of any kind.
• We do not broker or share data with data resellers.

Children's privacy (COPPA)

This website is directed at adults — teachers, school administrators, and parents — and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through this site.

When the TypeCheetah product launches for students, it will be designed to meet the requirements of the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). That means: enrollment authorized by a school or by verifiable parental consent, collection limited to what's needed to run the curriculum, no behavioral advertising directed at children, and deletion of a student's data on request. We describe this as a forward commitment because the student product does not exist yet — we are not claiming COPPA certification, which is not something a company can hold; COPPA compliance is a legal obligation we intend to meet.

Student data commitments (FERPA)

These commitments describe how we intend to handle student data once TypeCheetah is serving schools — they are forward-looking, since no student data is collected today.

• Student education records will remain the property and under the control of the school or district that owns them — not vectorfrog.
• Before any pilot involving student data begins, we will sign the relevant state student data privacy agreement (DPA) with the school or district.
• Student data will be used only to provide the TypeCheetah service, never for any other purpose.

Data retention & deletion

Form submissions (contact and pilot application details) are kept only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and manage the founding pilot program. To request deletion of information you've submitted, email [email protected] and we will remove it.

Your rights & contact

You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at any time. Reach us at [email protected].

Changes to this policy

We expect to update this policy before the TypeCheetah product launches, since student data handling will expand significantly once the product is live. If we make a material change, we will post an updated version on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
